Resurrecting Frozen or Dehydrated Chanterelles
In this brief video, I talk about the process of rehydrating dehydrated Chanterelle mushrooms, and also the process of thawing whole Chanterelles that have been frozen in a block of ice.
This is a follow-up to my last blog post, where I compared the three methods of storing chanterelles for future use: cooking and freezing them; freezing them whole and raw; versus dehydrating them.
Tomorrow, we’ll look at how to make Chanterelles Shazam (our base mixture) out of rehydrated Chanterelles.
